TreeKeepers Fall 2025 Course Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the TreeKeepers Course!

The Fall 2025 Course will be held at Northeastern Illinois University (Building B: 5480 N St Louis Ave, Chicago, IL 60625, Room B152).

Individuals who receive a scholarship are required to attend all TreeKeepers course classes, as well as assist for one hour before or after class to help with set up or breakdown.

The dates and times for the classes are as follows:

Class 1: Saturday, October 4 (9 AM - 1 PM)
Class 2: Saturday, October 11 (9 AM - 1 PM) PRUNING DAY
Optional review (virtual): Wednesday, October 15 (6-7:30 PM)
Class 3: Saturday, October 18 (9 AM - 1 PM)
Class 4: Saturday, October 25 (9 AM - 1 PM) PLANTING DAY
Optional review (virtual): Wednesday, October 29 (6-7:30 PM)
Class 5: Saturday, November 1 (9 AM - 1 PM) EXAM

Virtual review sessions will be done via Microsoft Teams and you can join from your home or wherever else is convenient.

Pruning Practicals will take place on Saturday, October 11th
Planting Practicals will take place on Saturday, October 25th

Openlands allocates limited available scholarships based on course partners and residents of the community area where the course is held. Check the boxes that apply to you-*
